Our Destruction Services
When it comes to Document Destruction and Shredding services, Sentry Records and Destruction offers a variety of options to meet your company or individual needs. Below are descriptions of our main shredding services, additional services are available for customization.
Our Shredder
All of our shredding is performed onsite by ShredEx Mobile Document Destruction. Contents are shredded into unrecognizable bits. Once the shredding is completed, all shredded contents are delivered to our recycler where it undergoes further destruction processes.
Weekly Scheduled Pick-Ups
A 35” locked container is delivered to your office for all of your confidential papers to be placed into. Each week, our driver will visit your office to remove the bin’s contents for secure destruction. A chain of custody will be provided at the time of pick up, and a certificate of destruction will be mailed to you once the contents have been completely shredded. This service includes the rental of the locked container, pick-ups scheduled in advance, and certified destruction of the bin’s contents. Discounts are available for clients who wish to have bi-monthly or monthly pickups.
Destruction of Stored Boxes
When old files need to be destroyed, shredding box contents can save you time and costs. Boxes are requested by an authorized employee for shred, removed from the warehouse, shredded on-site, and a certificate of destruction is mailed to you. Retention scheduling is also available for hassle-free destruction.
Destruction of Boxes Not Stored
Boxes can be picked-up by Sentry and sent directly to our shredder without ever seeing the warehouse. These boxes will need to be barcoded and processed as a ‘typical’ box. All boxes scheduled for immediate shredding only, need to be clearly labeled with the word ‘SHRED’ written directly below the box barcode. This service will also provide your company with a certificate of destruction.

Retention Scheduling
Sentry Records and Destruction is constantly up-to-date with the industry’s latest operating standards, providing worry-free records management at competitive rates. Continual additions and revisions of rules and regulations pertaining to document storage and disposal have made proper destruction of records a very prominent aspect of today’s business world.¹ While providing certified shredding for your company’s needs, retention scheduling is also available. Completing a retention schedule for each of your files as they enter our facility is always recommended, as it allows your office to manage each file’s timeline. This timeline is important to ensure that documents are destroyed in a timely manner, limiting the possibility of data leakage and saving you time and costs in the long run. After the initial set up of your company’s retention schedule, our system will automatically acknowledge each scheduled destruction date as it occurs. Upon immediate acknowledgement, you will receive a ‘Letter of Intent to Destroy’ and a request for confirmation from an authorized representative of your company.² For questions about this process or to receive more information about getting your scheduling started, please contact our office.
